Fred: The biggest crowd we ever played for was at Jazz Fest in 1999 or 2000 when we were on before The Dave Matthews Band. We played to 160,000 people. The next day we were booked to play this college date at a football field in South Louisiana. They had a giant PA set up. You naturally thought this was going to be a big deal. Well, they also booked it on Jazz Fest weekend. And in Louisiana, nothing else happens on Jazz Fest weekend. So we played on this giant football field to maybe a hundred people. But you know, we went out there and just kicked a lot of ass. Because what else are you going to do? If you enjoy yourself, the time passes faster. If you give that energy, it's more rewarding. If you do the best you can, it's a more positive experience for everybody.
