Fred: I went through that process of having to re-find what I really loved about what I do. And it came down to simple things. It came down to how I felt holding the drumstick in my hand. Or hitting a certain note in a microphone and feeling it resonate through the speakers. There are little things like that that I could count on, that I could control, that I was able to find joy in. And over time, hitting the snare drum with a stick became the joy of playing that song. And then it became the joy of playing the next song. Then it became the joy of playing that set. And then it became the joy of having the audience be enthusiastic not only because of what we brought to the game, but what they brought to the game too. A Cowboy Mouth show is a symbiotic relationship between the band and the audience.

Your music and the band has lifted me through some of the hardest times of my life, from the loss of my Dad to the Fire I worked where we lost 2 of our brothers. If you may remember I gave you a fire department hat when you played a gig in Bryan Texas one afternoon for the 100 club of Houston which benefits fallen Firefighters and Police. Thank you guys. Much love and respect
