Edwin McCain: Whenever we had multi-band bills, everybody would argue about who had to go on after Fred. “I’m not following that guy. Who's going on after Fred?” No one is bringing that much energy.

I love Fred. Fred was what everybody aspired to. Everybody's energy level on stage… that's what we all wished we could be.
