About Our New Single

Alternate Reality

Fred: Our new single, “Alternate Reality,” is a rock 'n' roll song about the crazy times we all seem to be living in these days. It's a song about losing your mind in order to find your heart and soul, something that is etched as a vital part of the Cowboy Mouth ethos.

We all feel the need to ditch our surroundings at one time or another, and this song has the distinct feeling of both a narrow escape AND glorious freedom. Play it loud when you're having a rough day, or when you just want to laugh at the world around you and how absurd it all can be! When life seems hardest sometimes the best thing you can do is to just smile, dance, scream, jump and celebrate... even if just for that moment. Such is the rebellious nature of the human spirit.

In New Orleans we learned long ago that celebration is especially necessary during the most difficult of times. Why, you might ask? Because in the act of celebration, we manage not only to defy the constraints of mortality and fear… but in that celebration, we manage to create our own reality and allow our spirits to joyfully soar with the eagles, temporarily touching heaven.
